Taylor Caldwell
(England, 1900-Connecticut, 1985) was born into a family of Scottish descent that emigrated to the United States in 1907. In 1093 he graduated from the University of Buffalo and worked in different state offices. In collaboration with her second husband, Marcus Reback, she wrote some novels, such as Dynasty of Death (1938). It was not until the publication of her novel The Iron Column, a historical novel about Cicero and the Roman Republic, that she achieved success and popularity. In total, she has published about 12 historical novels, among which The Great Lion of God or The Land of the Lord stand out.
